Here are some things I like about charts.
They are informative.

Instructional.

And…um…Tupac-ish?

Also? Charts have a site dedicated to their amazing, sparkly powers. (I love charts)
But charts’ most remarkable accomplishment to date is getting its very own book, which is available May 1.
High fives to the authors Jason Oberholtzer and Cody Westphal for their work and a huge thanks to both of them for including a chart from This is Not That Blog in the book.

Ha! I love charts too…they’re just so satisfying. Congrats on being included in the book – that’s awesome!
I seriously don’t chart enough.
Chart all day. Mostly how my career has gone into the toilet after starting with this company. My latest chart depicts how much I have to drink during my work day to chart what execs need.

Congrats on your entry. I hope your life is better.
Love the Tupac flow chart!
Oooooh, a whole site just for charts!!!
That WebMD chart is so accurate. One time I had the worst headache of my life and they convinced me that I had a brain aneurysm and was going to die immediately.
charts are awesome.. I love the WebMD one!
Love the WebMD chart – all I have to do is forward it to my hypochondriac husband and he’ll be jello in about an hour.
I agree with that. It makes your work more organized and understood.
It’s common knowledge that any theory or data set becomes 75% righter when presented as a chart. I read that on the Internet, so I know it’s true.
You win the world for diagramming a sentence. (It’s possible that my High School English teacher had a little too much influence on me…)
Charts are sometimes a great help for some things we do and it makes our work even easier..
Yay for you! Boo for cancer!
I love coming over here…
xo

CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
charts and lists, they make me incredibly happy. just like replying to a reply all just to piss people off.
Well organized.
🙂
Awesome. The reply all chart should be part of an email primer that EVERYONE must sign to acknowledge they’ve read, understand and will abide by the chart and if you refuse to sign, you cannot have email.
Oh My Gosh that tupac sentence diagram. So fucking awesome I’m having heart palpitations. When I was in grade school we did a giant sentence diagram out on the playground (not for fun, it was an assignment). I wish we could have used rap lyrics. Instead we made up some lame story about a lemur. I’m still confused by it.
I always make the mistake of going to Web MD late at night. Then I spend the hours until bed convinced I am going to die at any moment while my husband rolls his eyes at me. And poeple wonder why I don’t get enough sleep…
Charts are the best. They help to explain everything. I wish I had a flipchart that followed me around everywhere so I could use it to draw diagrams of what I mean. Someone should invent that. Like, now.
This might be the most funniest thing I have ever read and definitely the most accurate.
And am I the only one who realizes the last one was you diagraming a sentence?
I will be back to read more. And by more, I mean you’re entire archives which I will greedily devour like the last chocolate in the box when you thought the box was empty but there was that one (your favorite kind) hiding amongst the empty wrappers, yeah, I will devour your blog like that, in one sitting, one very long, 6-hour sitting. Because I can be a tad bit obsessive like that.
Or I might just have a glass of water and go to bed. It’s a toss up.
best,
