my all-consuming dream
The other night I dreamt that I had a guinea pig that I walked on a leash.
So waking up was pretty much bullshit.
P.S. I originally tweeted about this the other day, but I am still not over it. I needed a visual.
P.P. S. Even though we both had dreams that were awesome and revolutionary, my dream is in no way connected to Martin Luther King Jr.’s dream. I don’t even think guinea pigs came up once in that speech.

If you truly believe?
One day….
I love how the guinea pig looks kind of indifferent about being on a leash. That’s the kind of guinea pig you want in life.
That is a stunning visual. Awesome.
I had a guinea pig as a kid that I did, actually, walk on a leash. The disappointing part? Guinea pigs generally just sit there. Plus when you take them out to play in the yard they get fleas. Then there was the time that my younger sister tripped over said guinea pigs leash and knocked her tooth out. So yeah… having a guinea pig to walk on a leash just isn’t as great as it sounds. 🙂
I’ve missed you
*And I know how weird that must sound since I’ve never met you…and I’m pretty sure this is the first comment I’ve ever left on your blog. But I stand by my statement.
Dammit that’s going to be a HUGE litterbox though and a huge guinea-poop-bag.
Welcome back!! We missed you!
Awwww, i want!!! I dreamt my sister walked her cats on a leash once.I bet the guinea pig was happier.
What I really want I a New Guinea Pig, cause the African version is cool…

One day. One day will will raise little Miette. And she will walk on a leash. And the world will be love.
My suggestion: anti-dream pills (time release, preferably) 🙂

I love the photo so much!!Thanks for the great post too…
I love the images you have here…Great job!!
Is it ok that I find Guinea Pigs disgusting? Can we still be friends? Can I pretend that’s a cat you’re walking on a leash? Good.
My son and I did walk the guinea pigs on leashes. It was slow going.
Then I helped my son build them a summer palace in the fenced in dog run.
Problem: Forgot about predators that could get over the 6’fence.
It was a massacre.
Don’t know whether it was a cat or a possum.
oh well…….
I got a leash for my kitten once. It would not walk. It rolled over on its back and grabbed the leash, so I drug it a block, until I worried it would lose its fur. Some animals are not meant for leashes. Sigh. Love the guinea pig.
Your dream is unique!. I also have a per guinea pigs. their are so adorable..
I like the drawing of the guinea pigs. Thanks for posting.
There’s nothing wrong in dreaming, but never wish that you became a guinea pigs.LOLz Because your fairy God mother is always there on your side… 🙂
I had a very similar experience, only mine was a pretty pink piglet and it didn’t even need a leash. It just followed me everywhere and we did everything together. When I woke up I felt really sad that my pig was gone. I tried to explain this to my partner, but he apparently did not understand that just because I only had my pig in my dream it did not make the loss any less painful. Men are silly like that sometimes.
i kinda want this picture as a print now.
