In related news, This is Not That Blog has a Facebook page. Feel free to interpret this as: I only enjoy Facebook when it’s convenient.

  1. Dana K says:

    It’s not too soon…

    Also…you nailed it with FB.

  2. I thought the whole this was bang on – and then the related news just sent me over.
    Awesome.

Twitter is where I’m entertained by strangers; Facebook is where I’m annoyed by people I know.

  3. Marisa says:

FB also available to dogs, cats and lizards, evidently you can live in a cage and eat grasshoppers and still have 512 friends.

  4. FB use to be totally fun until my mom got on and not only friend requested all my friends, but they accepted. I cant write, “Going to stock up on alcohol mom is coming into town for 7 days.” I have to use my FB filter and say ” Yeah my mom is coming for 7 days, lots of prep to get ready!!!”

  5. I head a 50-something guy tell his wife “Facebook is the new e-mail. If you want to contact someone, you use Facebook!”

His words scared me. For lots of people, Facebook (and it’s dusty registered e-mail address) is their ONLY online presence. The internet is Mark Z.’s bitch.

  6. And my 80 year old great-aunt is on there. She tags herself in random photos because she likes them (not because she’s IN them) and writes private messages to people as her status update: “Mark I told you to call me. We going gambling or what?”

    Haaaaaate Facebook.

  7. Misfit Mommy says:

We have a family Facebook page, which I never visit, but I have not set one up for my blog. It’s humiliating to me to ask people to “like” me even if it IS only a euphemism! I have enough trouble getting people to like me in real life! Talk about ‘fear of rejection” issues!

  8. BuenoBaby says:

“So we’re still doing this thing, huh?” I need a t-shirt with this and a big ‘F.’

  9. Handflapper says:

Facebook has made me really hate my nieces and nephews. JUSTIN BIEBER IS NOT YOUR BOYFRIEND. YOUR MARIJUANA REFERENCES ARE NOT NEW OR CLEVER. JUST SHUT THE EFF UP ALREADY.

  10. So glad to see I’m not the only one. Not that I thought I was the only one to begin with. Just, oh hell. You know what I’m saying here.

  11. Abby says:

Hilarious. And totally sums up my feelings, except that I am so old the Internet was barely invented when I was in college. 🙂

  12. Leighann says:

    Perfect!!
    FB is annoying.
Once I found twitter I never looked back.

  13. C... says:

    LMAO 😀

  14. Kelley says:

I am right there with you, only FB came way after I was in college. You are making me feel old! I didn’t even have an e-mail account when I was until I almost graduated from college. No one did! Anyway, this was hilarious. Also? I have been in a hole because I didn’t realize you were no longer the 21st Century Mrs. I am going to have to change your name on my little photo you drew of me on my blog. Love the new look!

  15. Tabitha says:

You missed the step immeadiately after “I can stalk everyone I went to highschool with”. Its I can stalk ANYONE (Where in I become obsessed with my postmans business)
